Hi Alea

It wasn't my intent to call it a poor imitation of the Van Halen video. It is very nearly an exact imitation of the video, which, I repeat was a well liked, well regarded video, shot in a minimalist style. I think Wave is attempting to connect with that generation, who at this time will be the ones who are making the decisions for adopting new technologies. They are also attempting to tap into some nostalgia among their target audience, as well as associate themselves with the rebel reputation that Van Halen has. Overall, I find this to be a mainstream approach, one which I consider to be a solid attmpt at grabbing people's attention and then getting their message across in an entertaining fashion that will feel comfortable to their target audience. I like it, especially if they are able to license the Van Halen song.

All agreed.

And using an editor, high quality archive footage and limiting the clip to 30 seconds, this piece could have been done well for less than $10k.

Oh no. Goin has discovered it's just a poor imitation of a 1990s music video.
