ribit, I once had to escalate to fourth level to get a customer problem resolved. I got lucky. The fourth level had worked his way up and actually knew what I was saying.

once upon a time I paid a phone bill twice. They had a knucklehead call me dunning me for a credit balance. I got to second level and never found anyone who knew what a credit balance was. I told em I would take care of it by the end of the month.
