I could see it with Win8, the same time that Win8 pushes centralized management of Wintel more front and center, but that's just a guess. Win8 ain't going to land on a fed machine for a loonnngg time IMO.

Hi Dig,

I think the timing of a putative Dell abandonment of Wave really doesn't make any sense. We know that the DoD saucepan is heating up.

So I agree that there's probably a harmless eg out there which boils the issue down to perfection.

I get the sense that Wave is way ahead of any competition still. But competition will surely appear one day.

I still think the bit of the market Wave is investing in will probably have network effects characteristics. So the company which leads the market will have a large proportion of the opportunity. And I still think Wave is best positioned to be that company.
