Obama flag flies again

In 2008, someone in Seattle decided to make a buck by peddling Obama flags, American flags with the image of The Won replacing the stars. I guess his image alone represents the 57 states.
The Democratic Party in Lake County, Florida, bought one and now, in the final year of Barack Obama’s presidency, the Flag of the Obamanation has created a stir.

Korean war veteran Don Van Beck said his blood was boiling.
“I can’t describe how upset I was because you just don’t do that to the American flag,” Van Beck said.
Van Beck found it flying outside Lake County Democratic headquarters under the stars and stripes. Marine Corps vet John Masterjohn was seeing red.
Lake County Democratic Party chairwoman Nancy Hurlbert told angry vets who demanded it be taken down: “No. This is private property. This is private property. You’re not allowed to touch anything. I’ll call the police. Just went online. Just went online and looked up the flag code. There is no higher-up in Lake County. I’m responsible. I take responsibility.”
Missus Hurlbert had a different reaction to the posting of those Joker Obama posters in her county in 2009, as she told the Daily Commercial: “I think posting negative signs or comments is crossing the line. It is totally disrespecting of the office. If you disagree with something or you have issues concerning the proposed healthcare bill, attend meetings or call your congressman… I’m all for free speech and each of us posting signs in our own yards, but personally I think hanging posters the way it’s being done is the chicken way out. Take credit for it if it’s how you feel. Post something in your yard and let everyone know that’s your opinion.” ...
