Actually, Mein Pope,
The Guys are out there hunting and killing the
IED installation gangs.
They are also out there making a lot of 'night time
raids' . . . collecting up the guys who pay the IED
gangs.
But, as I said before, Afghanistan is a LOT like
Vietnam . . a thankless no-win type situation.
Eventually, like Vietnam, (next Republican President
probably) we'll 'declare victory' and withdraw. Much
like Nixon did in Vietnam.
Personally, what I think we ought to do, is draw
down to about 20,000 guys. 10,000 each on the
iranian and pakistani borders. Protect our forces
and hunt terrorists along both borders.
