I wouldn't attach too much significance to the zero valuation. Many prudent reasons why that would be the case.

You are right that the speculation may undermine the price. But if, at the end of the day, this is a relatively minor or non-existential event, I daresay the stock will recover.
My expectation at this point is that this is a non-recurring historical event, in which case it will have little effect on the market's assessment of Wave's opportunity.
I doubt that there would be any exposure to liabilities which were somehow not properly disclosed. If they were not, then the onus is VERY likely on the previous owners and not on Wave. These kinds of things are usually indemnified against in my experience.
