I'm not yet confident on making any investment in gold. The price of gold now depends almost entirely on central bank purchases or sales. I have no special insight into those machinations, and some insiders do so they are able to buy or sell with insider knowledge. It's a little like going into a poker game with a deck stacked against you - The usual in this day of rampant corruption and collusion.
If the central banks go from being buyers to sellers or neutral, the price should suffer, probably quickly and maybe dramatically.
