The question would be much more meaningful if the burgeoning national debt was factored in. Thus far, it has had virtually no impact on the average Joe. That will change rather dramatically in a number of ways going forward.

Thus far, it proves the old adage of "trillions in, billions out".

I have to wonder who the 20% who said 'YES' are... and what they're smoking.

Or maybe they're the racists among us - the SOBs who judge people primarily on the color of their skin. Could there really be that many??

In today’s CBS News poll:

Compared to four years ago, is your family’s financial situation better today, worse today, or about the same?

The survey finds 20 percent say better today, 37 percent say worse today, and 43 percent say “about the same.”
