I am a firm believer in selling CEOs stock in the company for a 25% discount (or maybe higher) on the condition he cannot sell it for five years. Top pay should be half a million. Then if he does a good job, the stock price rises and he makes a killing. If he screws up, his stock value drops just like everyone elses. He should invest for his own retirement.
