Hi DGP!

No problems there. EVERY situation as to performance is different, which is why you have a BOD whose job it is to look out for the stockholder's interests and fire the CEO if he is doing what you just described.

Every decision maker on the planet hopes to make 51 percent of his decisions correctly. Many times business is an art and not a science.

I don;t stick up for the unscrupulous. I despise those who abuse power and authority, like the present potus.

He does things just because he can and dares anyone to say anything about it, even though he constantly tramples our rights provided by the Constitution and gets away with it.

But golden parachutes are common as dirt and the bigger the corporation, the bigger the parachute.

If you want to attract top executive talent, you are not going to get it cheap or free or as Clo would like, for the same wages as the line workers of a production company.

Those folks can all better themselves with an education and lots of determination to get ahead like everyone else.
Taking from those who have paid the price so that there can be equity with the rest of the low tier employees is a SOCIALIST and Marxist dream come true.

But that is what CLO wants as well as the current administration.

Nitwits who don;t think fall for that crap.

If we fell for it, then why in the world would ANYONE want to study and enlarge their minds when all they are going to get is the same pay as joe assembly line guy?

That is idiotic. But it is what the LEFT is clammering for. It is what CLO is saying and doesn't even realize it.

Hope you enjoy the warm and sunny day we have been blessed with.

God is still on the throne and still in charge, thankfully.

the best,

micro....

micro, I agree with a lot of what you say. However, there are a group of CEOs who never worked at the lower levels of their company and do not seem to understand how the company works. It seems that many folks think that the CEO of Burger King and the CEO of Haliburton do much the same job and are interchangable. IMHO they are not. Much of the pay of CEOs came from the tax laws. I have no problem with any CEO making a fortune if he has a stake in the company, but I have seen a few like C. Michael Armstrong who used the company funds to buy himself a big future income. He knew nothing about how the company worked and had no idea as to how to grow the company. He was paid hundreds of millions to take a company of half a million employees and turn it into a company of 40,000. BTW, of those 40,000, 36,500 were management and 3,500 were non-management. In a 'normal' company there are at least ten employees per every manager. Otherwise the company becomes so top heavy it cannot survive. But then, a a friend once said, 'friends do not fire friends'.

Just my two cents worth.
