Hi Riana,

I don't see this as an either or issue.

Parents & the schools/teachers should work in tandem.

Often parents have some difficulty discussing sex & the body's functions with their children.

Heck, when I was a kid we 'taught' each other what we 'knew', which was often not correct.
Parochial school wasn't ANY help for us! ;)

While I am a proponent of home schooling, academics is not everyone's strong suit.

My problem is that people complain about schools teaching things that are 'immoral' or otherwise in conflict with their personal beliefs, so they don't want ANY student being given the information. How about teaching it to your own children yourselves?

Children are being raised with the morals of the education system, which may or may not be the morals of their parents and/or communities.
