New York, NY, United States (AHN) – Despite his “heartfelt” apologies, sponsors have run from Rush Limbaugh’s radio program.
Limbaugh has lost more than 30 national and local advertisers on his syndicated radio program since the out-spoken and staunch conservative called Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown law student, a “slut” and a “prostitute.”
Two radio stations have dropped the program: WBEC in Pittsfield, MA, and KPUA in Hilo, HI.
JC Penney and Capital One are the latest to join the growing group that have stopped advertising on Limbaugh’s program.
Media Matters, a liberal watchdog group, has been keeping tabs on the list and reports that as of Tuesday, some 36 advertisers have pulled out.
