...it's a mindset. The world should pay my bills kinda thingy.
...I had a friend from Boston who complained constantly about his daughter's problems. She was an unmarried mother living on gubmint handouts. The gubmint wasn't giving her enough money for food and the gubmint wasn't giving her enough money for housing and the gubmint healthcare wasn't as good as it should be blah blah blah. I asked him what he was doing for her. "OH NO ya don't" he says. Once they get to be 18 years old it's the gubmints responsibility to take care of em.
...liberals have a tendency to think of the gubmint as some independent entity with a load of cash. When they say "The gubmint should pay for this or that", what they mean is that my friends and neighbors should pay for it. They don't think of the gubmint as other human beings who have their own problems to contend with.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
