Cactus Flower,

Listening to this crew is proof 'contraception' should have been used more YEARS ago....

Don't know if you're aware of Rush Limbaugh, his goal is to incite & inflame & set afire under the rightwing nuts.

Ms Fluke testified to the congress, about a friend that wasn't covered for the pill which she needed for medical purposes. Her friend had to have an ovary removed because of the cyst.

Well, I believe Rush finally went over the edge after attacking Ms Fluke, college student, from Georgetown, calling her 'a slut & prostitute' & suggesting since she wanted others to pay for her birth control she owed the public. His way of paying back, she should make videos of her sex acts to share.
He spent the last three days on air, attacking her & her parents.

President Obama called her yesterday. He complimented Ms Fluke for her grace under fire & said her parents should be proud.
Several sponsors have pulled their ads from Rush's program & I hope this continues.

The republican candidates responses, when pushed, have been like a wet dish towel, no outrage.
This from the crew claiming to respect families...
What if Rush attacked their daughter(s)...
The republicans on the whole have been tepid & or mute, they are AFRAID of Rush, a man full of hot air, a man that deserves to be shunned....
This is the group always pounding their chest(s) to go to war, yet they are COWARDS when dealing with an inappropiate shock jock...

They should be ashamed!

Hi clo,

For me, the bigger significance is that the polarisation is hardening even further. There is a really huge gorge developing in the heart of American politics. Can America bear such a divide for long?

If a Republican party wins and bans abortion and contraception, and increases inequality even further, and collapses the separation of church and state, and continues to try to force poor folks and students off the electoral rolls, what kind of country does that make? Is that one that people on the edges care to be in?
