Not too much. NSA runs a whole TC conference. So I think they are on board with the concept.

She'd been talking about phones, so I took it that she was thinking phones with that response. And of course, phones aren't there yet.

That's why I'm focussed on the DoD and on PCs and the NIST BIOS instructions. All the other malarkey is a distraction. The revenue flows from the management of trusted components inside the defence-industrial complex. That DoD letter instructed DoD units to secure the BIOS. What more can we hope for other than the announcement of contracts?

"I asked Salter whether, given the central role of known devices and users in the NSA’s Secure Mobility Strategy, IAD would consider using Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) and Mobile Trusted Modules (MTMs) in their mobile communications equipment. “There’s definitely a place for TPM-like functionality” in the future, she emphatically replied. NSA is waiting for technology to advance but is certainly interested in encryption key management and trusted storage in future devices, she said."{
Not exactly a ringing endorsement! Hopefully she was talking just smartphones and not computers. What do you read into her statement CF? Tia
