Funny - An IBM recruiter team came into our graduating electronics class one day.. As I talked to them, one of my simple questions was whether thay were union or not... Heh, no answer, turned on his heel and walked away.. Obviously a touchy topic they didn't care to discuss... So I'm surprised to see in the link, ties to CWA, one that wasn't there until the late 70s... Working with their field engineers, later down the line, I could see they needed help, the guys were treated badly, lived out of their cars, suitcase, and made less than we did at Western... Pensions seem to be a problem now, too... But they did like those suits, or at least in places where they could make a show of it... Two nephews worked for them briefly, once they got the picture, bailed...
