It was reported that Rand Paul would be honored to be Mitt's VP.

Now that makes more sense & is probably another reason Ron & Mitt have a better relationship. Many report they get along very well & their wives too.

Ron certainly has helped Mitt, he tends to support him when being attacked by Rick & Newt prior, during debates.

Last night I appreciated when Dr Paul stated the 'morning after pill' is just a 'birth control pill', unlike the others claiming its an 'abortion pill'.

This would be REMARKABLE - if it were true. Which it isn't. No way. Ron Paul would never team up as Romney's VP. The VP is a do-nothing job, mostly centered around promoting the President at every opportunity while secretly hoping that maybe he'll die in office. It would be totally out of character with Ron Paul's outspoken and honest style.

The two have diametrically opposed philosophies on a broad range of political issues - starting with Mitt's love of big government and Ron's love of freedom FROM government.

But I bet Ron would accept an APPOINTMENT... as, say, Mitt's Treasury secretary or head of the Federal Reserve (to oversee its dismantling.) As long as Mitt agrees to let Ron act as he sees fit, and not as some sort of Romney puppet!

Realistically, if this turned out to be true and Romney looked to win the Presidency, I expect Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, or possibly BOTH would be assassinated. That might sound crazy to some of you, but there really are BILLIONAIRES who would lose a fortune - or maybe even wind up in jail - if Ron Paul were put into a position of real power.

It IS a funny rumor, though, isn't it? And Rick Santorum is a funny guy.

Santorum campaign suggests Mitt Romney may have done deal to make Ron Paul his running mate

After tonight's debate, in which Ron Paul and Mitt Romney repeatedly attacked Rick Santorum over his 16-year record in Congress, the former US Senator for Pennsylvania hinted that something nefarious was going on.

"You have to ask Congressman Paul and Governor Romney what they've got going together," Santorum told reporters in the spin room in Mesa, Arizona. "Their commercials look a lot alike and so do their attacks."

Santorum's top strategist John Brabender went even further, charging that the two men had "joined forces" and were coordinating attacks against his man
"Clearly there's a tag team strategy between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. For all I know, Mitt Romney might be considering Ron Paul as his running mate. Clearly there is now an alliance between those two and you saw that certainly in the debate."
