Trust me on this. If the government minted gold-plated tungsten, everyone would know in less than a day. All anyone would need to do would be to drive a nail through one, see the dark interior, and the jig would be up!

You'll notice that these stories of gold-plated tungsten bricks always involve Ft. Knox gold . . . or gold that's otherwise locked away. Untestable gold. Makes for good gossip.

Gold plated Tungsten. It has the same physical weight as gold. I have heard this for a couple years now.......
