More emotionally over-wrought twaddle from clo, as per usual.
Santorum has expressed his personal views on contraception. Okay, so what? Is he proposing to do away with access to birth control if he becomes POTUS? No, he is not and nor does he have any inclination to do so - and everyone knows that, including you, clo - so quit acting like a hysterical lil' two-year-old about a nonexistent issue. Santorum is responding to the very real problem of government forcing some citizens to subsidize or pay for other people's contraception, even if that stomps all over the religious beliefs of those citizens being imposed upon. What's the matter, clo? You are always so ready to defend the religious beliefs of the mysogynist Muslims who like to keep their women in line by forcing them to wear burqas and beating, raping, or killing them whenever they think their wives or daughters are not doing what they are told. So, clo ... why can't you show a little respect for Catholic beliefs when all they object to is paying for other people's birth control, eh? That is a major, hypocritical disconnect on your part, clo.
Santorum is not the one trying to force anything on anyone else ... it's your idea of a Socialist-ever-more-leaning-towards-Marxist government that is trying to force your nosy, holier-than-thou will down everyone else's throat. In fact, it is your pseudo-messiah who is acting like the Taliban, not Santorum. This is supposed to be a free country, clo. Employers should have the right to pay what they want for the work they want done. If the compensation they offer is too low, then they will have to increase their offer if they want to attract the employees that they want to hire. That's called the "marketplace." Insurance benefits are nothing more than a commercial product that is a component of compensation, period ... insurance benefits are not some inalienable, God-given right. If your prospective employer doesn't offer the insurance benefits you want, either negotiate a higher salary so you can directly buy the benefits you want or go work for another employer who does offer the benefits you want. It is as simple as that.
