That is a fairly old radeon gpu as well. I don;t think there are really any surprises there, possibly disappointments.
I am tinkering with my car right now. I am trying to IMPROVE the MPG a little by trying a couple basic things.
1. Adding a HIGH AIR FLOW air filter to replac the standard ones you get for your car with a K & N air filter. This filter is good for a million miles but I don't think my car would last that long.
Point is the air filter will easily pay for itself in a few thousand miles.
The other thing I am doing is installing a electronic chip to control and optimize the air/fuel mixture to where the air is is optimum at 14.9 parts air to 1 part fuel in the combustion chamber.
I am waiting for that part. I installed the air filter last night which in my mind will let air more easily into the engine. This alone gives you higher HP and should add some miles per gallon by itself.
I noticed the car was a little peppier after installing the air filter immediately.
So now I am looking forward to the chip and the goal is an increase of 5 MPG which doesn't sound like much, but that adds up fast!
I'll keep you all posted on how this works out. If successful, you might want to do it too.
Gas at $3.50 per gallon. Save 5 MPG Every fifth gallon is paid for by the increased mileage if you get 20 MPG in city driving and increase it by 5 mpg.
So, every 200 miles you saved $3.50
How many miles does one drive in a year?
The math gets quite interesting as do the savings, which explains WHY I am working on this.
The filter cost me $44.00 delivered to the door.
The Chip is $69.00 delivered.
Not much cost but the reward is very promising.
Hopefully it works out. I'll let you know.
