I hope you're right. Really, I do.
But even if you are, I don't see any reason to sell my things. They're almost all practical and/or decent investments. Guns and ammo, for instance, will last forever and aren't very likely to fall in price. If I don't need money, why should I sell them?
I'd appreciate it if you could explain WHY things should improve. The interest on the debt is massive now, and the spending isn't slowing down. What grounds do you have for optimism?

Decomposed I think that you are wrong now...of course if you are negative long enough there will be various terrible events happening from time to time, such as 9/11, that will make the perma-negative ilk look right, but I know things are getting better.
I am in the process of de-armimg myself by at least 75% by selling off various rifles & pistols I have bought over the years.
I look forward to the coming years with my Family...there is nothing like having Family close at hand. In the words of the immortal Bobby Ferris..."Don't worry...be happy"???
