Not sure why Paul would want to try to win by subtle means a race in which he clearly isn't attracting the support that justifies the victory.

I appreciate that the Republican establishment has set things up as best as possible to favour Romney - or so they say - and I don't agree with that either. I'd say the same to the Romney folks also.

For myself, I've said since the last election it is important to have the tea party/conservatives field a candidate. They have to discover that the ideas doom the candidate in order to burst that bubble. And it is important to burst it.

By the way, how about those male republicans, OPPOSING 'birth control' coverage by insurance companies.
How many 'women' & balanced 'men' do they think they are wooing...

Santorum's backer, Foster suggested in the old days, a 'gal' put an aspirin between her knees as a form of birth control. (cheap & effective)

He should put an aspirin between his lips to avoid foot in mouth!
