I have to confess - I actually watched SURVIVOR last night. (I'm a long-term Survivor junkie and my loyalty runs deep.) But I *recorded* Idol and watched it later.
When Survivor ended, my wife broke bad news that Blaire's entire team had been eliminated in the group competition. "Aw, that stinks." I said. "Are you sure?"
"Pretty sure," she said. "I'm 95 percent sure it was her - though they never mentioned her name."
So, I watched the recording through to where "Stuck on you" was performed and widely condemned by the judges, and I was quite sure that Blaire's season was over - until later in the night when Bob told us all otherwise.
So, my wife and I both thought that THIS (below) was Blaire. In hindsight, I only see a little similarity. And as with the real Blaire, this girl's performance was totally chopped by the American Idol censors - so we had very litle to go on. Two seconds, maybe, of total air-time. That could be MORE than Blaire actually did get, btw.
It's now apparent that Bob's daughter DID survive to the next round... and that she's actually far more attractive than the Blaire wannabe who was sent packing last night. Congratulations, Bob!
NOT BLAIRE:
These poor kids, though. I don't know why they put themselves through it. Besides the whole 'fame and fortune' thing, I mean! It's obviously very stressful - and that's not even considering what their families and friends . . . and family's internet friends . . . are going through!
