For myself, I think that Buffett's success derives largely from being a stellar analyst and an even better chairman. He buys undervalued businesses with strong cashflows and good managers, then supplies the capital they need to grow at the lower costs Berkshire commands. He then reinvests the dividends the group companies generate in new opportunities to buy good new companies on the cheap as they come along.
