We were there in 2001, in the midst of the restoration... They didn't want too much, because over the years of it's construction, it had been shifting, so it's not really straight... We couldn't go in or up when we were there, in fact sets of cables were wrapped around it, secured a ways back.. There was a TV Special on all the engineering that went into figuring how to stabilize it...

I was there a couple of decades ago, and the whole place definitely looks better than the decrepit scene I witnessed.

One thing, though, there is nothing like being in a place of history anywhere in the old world, and the music helps and is awesome, too. Very Happy
