Anyone else notice that a bunch of folks appear to pretend to prescience? When in fact, all they are doing is floating rumours upon the surface of the conversation.

If those rumours prove true, is there any glory in success? Well, of course, they will claim it.

Even so, their claim is counterfeit. The prescience belongs to someone else. Perhaps to someone who should not have provided the information preferentially. Therefore it can give no real satisfaction to the claimant and it is a badge of shame for the source.
