Samsung just hit Apple again in Germany by presenting a work around of Apple design patents. The court preliminarily approved the move. Apple had better wake up and smell the coffee. They need essential OS patents to cross license, a spot on the standards committees and a proven successful R&D section for the future of wireless. They can easily justify a one year ROI with a Yogi Berra purchase of IDCC. The patents will be largely unencumbered by the end of this year. If they apple ass around until the four companies involved in the ITC 337 investigation license with IDCC causing Samsung to renew, the sector will have them in a nostril stretch and twist over toehold.
