From Linda in IDCC IR dept:
* "the market has done a knee jerk reaction" to the ending of the SA
* IDCC has received numerous emails and calls saying IDCC should be doing a stock buyback. There is a board meeting later this month and that is where topic would be discussed, if it is discussed at all.
* "we believe we have a strong portfolio" but it takes time to monetize and license it (reiterated $800 million target in 3 years). I said 'fine' to the target but what about "now"; where is LG, new licenses,etc., ? She said all companies they had been working with were wanting to wait until the resolution of the SA...so my read is the licensing dept just had a 6 month vacation.
* I asked if she believed IDCC has lost institutional support and she said she "hadn't looked at those numbers".
* She commented how well BM is respected and valued within the company.
There were a few more comments, but nothing insightful. I just called to express my frustration at shareholder value eroding right before their eyes, and wanted to know how IDCC was going to change that.
