re: "I am a realest DE. What category do I fall in ?? LOL."
A person is either a realist, or delusional, or something in between. But guess how many people believe themselves to be entirely or partly delusional? Pretty near ZERO.
So, the bottom line is that nearly everyone calls themselves realists... whether they are or not.
I think most people are "in-betweeners." And I don't think many know that about themselves.
I question how delusional I might be more often than most of you probably realize. I know full well that I've got some unconventional beliefs. Some REALLY unconventional beliefs, in fact. So, I look at them, and weigh into the equation that those beliefs are the ones where I've been the most successful... and wind up thinking that it's probably my CONVENTIONAL thoughts that are the most screwed up.
In other words, I've got supporting evidence to back up on a lot of my stranger beliefs. It's the CONVENTIONAL stuff that's generally let me down.
That makes sense, actually. I'm open to questioning almost everything about myself, and it's harder to be delusional if you guard against lies and prowl for truth. My current line of thought is that few things are as simple as they first seem, and my conventional beliefs are among the simplest I hold. They're mostly the ones I have because someone told me they were so when I was too young or naive (or lazy) to fight back. Hence, they're probably WRONG.
I'm a garden in need of weeding. Most of us are. But at least I'm here every day working on it.
