Given that all the Gold EVER MINED in the world is only equivalent to a cube 60ft square, this looks like WAY too much to have in one place.

UK gold holdings were 310.3 tonnes at the beginning of 2011. Looks like the DM has reported on gold reserves that are not the UK's but those stored for other agencies. Or, they made a mistake with an extra '0'.
