Interesting to note the number of voters that voted in 2008 & yesterday. Amid all claims to get Obama out of office I would think there would be MANY MORE voting yesterday, yet so far it doesn't appear to be the case.

Romney's win in Nevada extended the lead that he then held in total delegates. After coming last in this caucus, Duncan Hunter withdrew his bid for the nomination.

Although delegates were not pledged to candidates until the state convention, the news media allocated delegates proportionally for reporting purposes.

The 2012 Nevada caucus results (incomplete):
1.Mitt Romney: 48% (11,822 votes, 11 delegates)
2.Newt Gingrich: 23% (5,623, 2 delegates)
3.Ron Paul: 19% (4,619, 2 delegates)
4.Rick Santorum: 11% (2,749, 0 delegates)

total with 71% counted 24813
