Wait....read the announcements carefully.
SGK has not, I repeat not, reversed its policy....or even clarified it.
Thier non-apology apology and thier statements boil down to:
1.) We are again altering our "spoken" policy to remove politics....ummm, wait I thought they said the decision was not politcal.
2.) They are not re-instating a true working relationship with PP or committing to actual support...they are saying that PP can submit and they will "review"...which means they can quietly reject, delay or reduce the amounts.
3.) They have not shifted in thier right wing anti-choice stance...in fact they over the years have lobbyed quite often to stop legaslation that would fund research, screening, etc. They have a scam going here on refferals and running breast cancer screening it seems
4.) The people who pushed this agenda are still there, and being paid quite well....so why would SGK $$$$ foundation really change?
5.) The original "rule" they adopted was aimed at PP...they had not defunded Penn State ($7.5 million...yes million) which is under federal investigation (which would seem more concerning than a Right Wing Congress critter with a feather up his heinie witch hunt).
