Good, good that you can use the Costco card, at teh time, we were just lad to get aboard the AMEX train, simplify out travel.. Theoretically we weren't supposed to use it for meals, but if it was part of a staff meeting or other legit reason, no problem.. All my billing was managed, approved a couple levels above my own boss, we all worked well together, I can see it would have been intimidating for some of the troops, but it sure made my life easier, kept family funds away from company funds..
Now, not only am I outta there, so are all the rest... LU is down to under 1,000 Nation wide and declining.. With Western Electric/LU/Bell Labs gone, it makes me wonder what will happen in the telecom world down the line, still a need for wireline (POTS) service, but the switchgear is aging... Nortel is also gone, there were a few Siemans's switches around, but smaller ones.. Not the 100,000 line beasts...
