Wouldn't it be something if the rate fell below 8.0% before the elections. The GOP has been harping on his promise of an 8.0% unemployment rate for at least 2 or 3 years now, assuming all along that it was going to be impossible to achieve, but now it appears to be in play. You can bet that we will no longer hear this mentioned as long as the trend continues downward.
