Good points.

It seems that the government (at all levels) is cooperating and financing (at 0% interest) these activities.

We seem to be pretty well screwed as a nation and a people. I fear the scumbags are in control, with nobody on our side. The trick is to define "our". The 99% doesn't quite do it.

Aren't you glad you're still gainfully employed and I'm glad that me and and mine are financially secured. Are we the "our"?

KTC,

Isn't this what Mitt Romney suggested as being the 'logical solution' to the foreclosure problem? Just let the bottom fall-out and when the prices drop low enough, the 'investors' will come in, buy up the homes and turn around rent them back to the same people who were just evicted from their foreclosed homes.

I can even imagine that if some of these homes being purchased by people like Bain Capital (or some other investment firm) while it might be in foreclosure but where the 'owners' are still living in the home that they could turn around and offer the residents a 'sweetheart' deal where they will convert their toxic mortgages into leases, which could start low but could then be raised later providing a big opportunity to make a lot of money off the hardships of average people who never did anything wrong except trying to provide a decent home to their families.
