kathy,

the first thing you do is have the cursor blinking where you want to type something.  

Next, you go click on the color you want. BOTH the beginning and end of the colors enclosures will be displayed. 

Simply click your cursor in the middle of that and type away 

Now you try it.

After the last two failures, ya think I need help?

I went to the default page for "font colours" and chose red.

I put that symbol for red at the very beginning, then I wrote my sentence AND put the exact same color symbol at the end.

Obviously, THAT didn't work.
