Absolutely unbelievable. I may be done selling homes, but I suspect I'll eventually get around to selling the NH house. It doesn't make sense to keep it if I build another ten miles away, and I'll almost certainly be doing that sometime in the next five or six years.
My REAL comment about the new $3,800 per $100,000 sales tax is that it shouldn't surprise anyone. Obummer needs SOME redistribution plan to pay for the new $3,000 benefit it wants to give to anyone who refinances, after all.
Oh, but look. That's NOT what the new home sales tax is for. Instead, Obummer plans to just steal more from those dirty, no-good, wipe-em-off-your-shoe rich corporations! Nobody could possibly object to THAT.
What a pathetic joke it all is. Obummer is a traitor.
Obama Answers Bernanke Plea With Refinancing Plan

President Barack Obama answered Ben S. Bernanke’s appeal for more action to fix the U.S. housing market that’s restraining the economic recovery by proposing a plan to help borrowers reduce their monthly mortgage payments.
Obama is sending Congress legislation that would allow homeowners to tap record-low borrowing costs, potentially boosting housing as he seeks re-election this year. The proposal could save participants about $3,000 a year, Obama said in his State of the Union speech to Congress.

The program will give “every responsible homeowner the chance to save about $3,000 a year on their mortgage by refinancing at historically low interest rates,” Obama said. “No more red tape. No more runaround from the banks.”
Costs would be covered by a fee on financial companies with more than $50 billion in assets, according to two senior administration officials who briefed reporters on the plan.

The National Association of REALTORS is all over this and working to get it repealed, before it takes
effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from
unsuspecting homeowners. How many REALTORS do you think will vote Democratic in 2012?
Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc.
When did this happen? It's in the health care bill and goes into effect in 2013. Why in 2013???
Could it be to come to light AFTER the 2012 elections?

Under the new health care bill ALL real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax.
If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax.
This bill is set to screw the retiring generation,
who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November and 2012 vote more important?
