KTC,
I'm pretty sure you posted the 'purpose' of the
program. Something about telephones being a
'necessity'.

But here is something a LOT bigger which you refuse
to recognize. It is NOT the responsibility of the
United States federal government to provide anything
for anybody.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say the federal
should be feeding or clothing any of the unwashed
masses.

In other words, all of your favorite 'charity'
programs - welfare, medicare, etc. etc. etc. - are
Un-Constitutional.

You can argue that the individual States should
provide for their poor . . and I could even agree
with you.

But not the Federal.

Why?

Because any and every such welfare socialist type
program involves stealing from the folks in some
States to 'provide' for half wits in a different
State.

In the current version of our Socialist America we
are stealing - through deficit spending - from our
future generations.

And it just isn't right.

Zim.

Kathy:

Nobody has gone through the Obamaphone thing or even scratched the surface. Has anyone even mentioned what the basis for the program is (regardless of whether they approve or disapprove)? Of course not! That would require some research or thinking.

Wingers know what they've been told to know about it. (liberal, socialist, welfare queens, blacks, etc.)
