Could you provide links to the photos? I didn't know where to look.

I do, however, remember seeing a picture of the ship with a large chunk of ROCK still protruding from it. And, of course, countless other pictures of the beached ship, suggesting it was very close to shore when the "event" occurred.

This is one of the silliier bits of conspiratorial speculation I've read in a while.
