ive been saying that for about ten years....i was continually told that qcom doesnt need idc's patents....because they already have contracts guaranteeing them X%....IMO idc's 4g/lte portfolio vis vis qcom's 4g portfolio....makes qcoms x% RATE....look really bad!!!!!
It wouldn't be totally out of character for Qualcom to announce at the CES conference in Vegas that its acquiring IDCC.
I know a lot of the heavyweights over at IHUB don't think Qualcom needs IDCC. That might have been true a few years ago but NOT now....not with IDCC's 4G/LTE patents, m to m, mobile video patents etc, etc. IMO
