...when military personnel come out of a combat area, they and everything they have with them is given a thorough search to make sure they aren't carrying any weapons or ammunition or explosives. For this guy to come home with any "left over" munitions is the equivalent of a teller coming home from the bank with some "left over money".

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

What did I tell you?

And wouldn't it be amusing to find out that the block of C4 travelled to Midland in the carry-on, as well (as in, TSA missed it the first time)?

He managed to fly not once, but TWICE, with that C4 in his baggage. And they even stopped him in NC because there was a smoke grenade in there (another leftover from Afghanistan). They confiscated the smoke grenade, scolded him, and sent him on his way... with two blocks of C4.

This bolsters my belief that TSA is inept, and isn't going to save us from anything.

Soldier denies knowing of explosives in plane bag

MIDLAND, Texas (AP) - A soldier charged with trying to bring explosives on an airplane in Texas told investigators he used them in Afghanistan but didn't realize any were in a bag he brought back to the U.S. and apparently carried on a flight from North Carolina to Texas.
