...we recently had a state patrolman hit an SUV here and kill a woman (the wife of the Braves trainer). He was racing to help another state patrolman ketch a motorcycle that was speeding somewhere miles from him. Sometimes I question the cops policy on chasing folks. The only thing I know of that is more dangerous than a car going a hundred miles an hour is two cars going a hundred miles an hour. When I was a cop my policy on chasing folks was that I didn't chase anybody they wouldn't let me shoot if I caught em.
...my first night on the job another cop got killed chasing a kid in a hot rod. The kid got caught later on. He was fined a hundred bucks and lost his license for a year. Im worth more than that. Perhaps not a lot more, but some.
