I used to read about everything I could get my hands on when I was a kid and a two inch thick paperback was thirty five cents. Read a lot in nam as it was a good way to pass the time when I wasn't busy. I figured anything that made the time go faster was a blessing. Got lax, and lazy about the time they came out with cable tv with a bazillion channels and drifted away. Have recently returned to reading and have rediscovered that I really like it.

Reading requires what I call Full Mind Mode. Listening to radio requires half mind mode. Tv requires that you turn your mind off.

I like sci-fi and mystery and or spy novels.

I have found a few free websites where ya can go online and read books. These are usually associated with University's of some sort. This has been a reaction to the fact that you can spend $9.00 or so on a two inch thick paperback these days.

I don't have an E-reader. Don't know if I really want one. I have found that reading books online that the biggest problem is that there is no way to bookmark the darned thing if ya need to quit reading for awhile due to the call of nature or being sent to the grocery store for some vague substance the wife doesn't really need, but it's the only thing she can think of to put an end to ya enjoyin yasself.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
