Rick Santorum: ‘Ron Paul Is Disgusting’

According to reports from FoxNews.com’s Serafin Gomez, surging Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum had some choice words for fellow GOP hopeful Ron Paul following Santorum’s Fox and Friends interview Tuesday morning.
“Ron Paul is disgusting,” Santorum told reporters.
Gomez writes that the reason for the vitriol is a series of robocalls that claimed Santorum, a former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania, was pro-choice and against the Second Amendment. According to the Huffington Post, Santorum cleared up the misinformation late Monday, saying that he’s a member of the National Rifle Association:
“Let’s just lay the record out. I am a [National Rifle Association] member, as is every other member of my family. Okay, our three-and-a-half-year-old is not an NRA member yet.”
Paul’s son, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.,) didn’t exactly deny that the calls were from the Paul campaign, telling Fox Business reporter Peter Barnes, “I haven’t heard the robocalls, but the thing is, he hasn’t been scrutinized yet, so it’s his turn.”
