Ron Paul needs to explain how refusing to serve someone in a restaurant or renting them a hotel room based only on their ethnic background constitutes a "private choice". And while it might be true the the restaurant or hotel building is "private property" in terms of ownership, when it's used to provide a PUBLIC service and when the expectation is that the PUBLIC will be asked to pay for said service, that transaction is NO LONGER PRIVATE!

In an interview with Candy Crowley on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, Ron Paul slammed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, saying it “undermine[d] the concept of liberty” and “destroyed the principle of private property and private choices.”
