KTC> I hear your complaint. What are the solutions?
1.) Go to a strict adherence to the Constitution.
a.) Outlaw earmarks.
b.) Make congress obey ALL the laws - strictly.
(As in create a department within the FBI for
investigating congressional malfeasance and a
court just below the Supreme Court for prosecuting
them in. With even a minor infraction of any law
causing eviction with NO pension of separation pay
for any congress member or staffer found guilty.
And, lets have the SEC investigate anything that
even smells like insider trading and prosecute them.)
c.)Anything that should be a State responsibility
gets eliminated from the federal budget and becomes
a State problem.
d.) Presidential 'proclamations' ? Outlawed. If
the Prez wants to 'make something happen' he had
better go through the congress.
e.) Outlaw those 'monster bills'. You know, those
'catch all vehicles for spending legislation'.
(If congress can't be bothered to debate and vote on
it, it ain't worth spending OUR money on it.)
f.) Convert social security from a ponzi scam into
a genuine retirement fund - something run more like
a 401K - where in ones retirement dollars buy shares
and one owns something with value.
I could go on and on and on . . . .
but I doubt you have the intelligence to understand.
Zim.
