A society that does not permit the teaching of the scientific method or parents who do not permit the scientific method to be taught to their children. If we decry the public teaching of evolution should we not also decry the private effort to deprive a child of science?

Denial of knowledge to a child is a form of deliberate cultural deprivation. At what point is deliberate cultural deprivation to be considered abuse?
