On the other hand, I may have got the wrong Tea Party candidate. I do think one must finally emerge. Perhaps rather than Bachmann it will be Santorum, as he appears to be the one who is surging. But the candidate will emerge in the end as the poorer/weaker candidates drop out.
That person captures the voters who made up the Gingrich bump. And the Gingrich bump was a bigger block than the Romney rump.
I don't think Romney accrues those voters, for all the punditry in Washington. He's clearly last on many voters' list.
