...for years I have heard that if we don't pay CEO's bazillions of dollars a year we can't get the best people. IMHO, assuming thata we have the best people now is taking a helluva lot for granted. Far as I can tell they ain't worth a bullet unless ya can get a couple of em to line up so's ya can get a quigley.

...that bein said, I would like to point out that these folks are just have to have different laws and rules and regulations than us mere peasants or else they might punish us by not running for office again. This would leave us in the intolerable situation of only having people with morals and scruples running for office. Further, they have to keep their right to steal because they are really doin it for our own good.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Take Action: Let's Hold House Majority Leader Eric Cantor Accountable (Updated-2)

For years, Congress has stalled on passing a law to ban insider trading on Capitol Hill. Three times, it's gone to committee. Three times, it's died there.

This year is different. With 235 Congressmen backing the bill, The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act (the "STOCK Act"), finally got a fair hearing before the House Financial Services Committee last week. But no sooner had the committee scheduled the STOCK Act for final mark-up (prior to consideration by the full House) than House Majority Leader Eric Cantor blocked it. Again. For the fourth time.
