Yup. I have to wonder how the church resolves that position with the state-sponsored executions under Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Saddam. That's 70+ million civilian executions in the last century alone, and we're supposed to believe that the Catholic church condones them because they were official acts of the State?

There's got to be more to this. Where's OCU when you need him? I'm sure he could explain it.

Yes, I was surprised to read this too.

Seems the church believes those following the law are doing so in God's name.

IMO, 'Religion' is dangerous, much is based on interpretation & easily used to weild power over others.
